Soups On!

For the New Year, Chef Lindsay Steinberg McGrail has created eight delicious seasonal recipes to satisfy and satiate! Join the Green Zebra Fall Soup Club and make these soups the centerpiece of your weekly meals.  Add our fresh breads and/or salads with dressing to create a satisfying lunch or dinner for you and yours!

How it Works

Each week, Chef Lindsay Steinberg McGrail prepares a fresh soup for you to pick up or have delivered to your home or office.  Each quart of soup is 4 cups and provides 2-3 servings. The first soup delivery begins on Tuesday January 15th, 2019 and continues every Tuesday for eight (8) weeks.  Delicious! 

2019 Winter Soup Club

Lemon Chicken, Spinach and Israeli Couscous - One of our favorite versions of chicken soup with the tang of fresh lemon, organic baby spinach, fresh dill and Israeli couscous to elevate it to meal status. Includes crumbled Bulgarian feta cheese to garnish. 

Butternut Squash and Black Bean Chili - A hearty combination perfect for fall evenings.

Tom Yum Vegetable - Fresh vegetables simmered in a flavorful vegetarian Thai broth with warming lemongrass, ginger, curry, lime, and cilantro.

Minestrone - A hearty Italian stew of vegetables and beans in an herby tomato- parmesan broth.  One of our Winter staples!

Caldo Verde - A simple and tasty Portuguese stew comprised of local potatoes, onion, garlic and chorizo sausage simmered with kale and mustard greens.

Sherried Mushroom Bisque - Fresh mushroom are sautéed with onions, celery and herbs, blended with our homemade vegetable stock, and finished with a bit of dry Sherry to create a winter favorite.

Stuffed Cabbage Soup - Old Ridge Farm Cabbage is simmered with diced tomato, carrots, onions, garlic and our rich chicken stock and finished with ground chicken, brown rice and a bit of fresh dill and parsley to create a spin on the classic Polish dish 

Chicken Posole Verde - a comforting Mexican soup filled with shredded chicken and hominy in a comforting green chile broth.  Fresh cilantro, shaved red onion, and lime wedges for garnish.

What it Costs

The all-inclusive cost of $110 includes eight (8) weeks of soups available for pick up at our Fairport location every Tuesday between 3:30 - 5:00 pm.  8 weeks of delivery is available for an additional $50, but delivery is limited so don't hesitate!

Add a green side salad (serves 2-3) with chef’s choice of dressing to your weekly delivery for $60.

Add a house made bread each week for $60 (it will rotate between rolls, breads, biscuits, and focaccia)

Add an additional quart of soup for $60.
